DataMotion™ Offers Secure Cloud-Based Email Encryption Solutions for Credit Unions

Morristown, NJ, February 23, 2011 – DataMotion, Inc., a leading provider of secure information delivery solutions, today announced that it offers secure cloud-based email encryption technology for credit unions. Credit unions routinely need to exchange sensitive member information such as account numbers, social security numbers, names and addresses. DataMotion’s solutions enable these institutions to easily and safely exchange this information with their members, replacing traditional, slower methods like postal mail, fax, overnight couriers and unsecured email.
With offices and customers throughout the nation, Altra Federal Credit Union, a full service financial cooperative, meets its 66,000 members' financial needs through diversified, competitively priced services. Altra was in need of an efficient process to exchange private data with its members, which by law was required to be kept confidential. And with a small IT staff, the solution needed to be available in the “cloud” and easy to use.
After extensive research, Altra selected DataMotion’s SecureMail and SecureContact solutions. The company chose SecureMail because the system was so easy to use and it gave the organization room to grow. By using SecureMail with their existing Outlook email client, Altra can now send confidential emails to members and is assured that the member data and documents are being sent back and forth securely – even if the member does not have secure email technology. SecureMail is also an important technology for the payroll department. Administrators now securely send all personal payroll information through email to their outsourced service provider. Additionally, when working with the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), Altra is now able to send exam results to the regulators through SecureMail.
Altra also uses SecureContact, which enables members to securely email the credit union directly from its web portal. The technology integrates seamlessly with Altra’s website, leverages corporate branding, and enables customers to securely communicate directly with Altra. With SecureContact, when a customer is interested in sending private information, they no longer need to contact the call center first to alert them to a fax or mail, eliminating several steps in the process and reducing call center calls.
