Secure messaging provider CertifiedMail Inc. is changing its name to DataMotion Inc. as part of a company-wide rebranding initiative that also includes introducing the Intelligent Information Transport (IIT) platform.

DataMotion's IIT platform is an on-demand or on-site service offering it says “enhances business communications by enabling companies to move, track, filter, audit, manage and secure sensitive information.” It leverage companies' existing messaging infrastructure, middleware and applications, allowing them to work securely with whatever services are chosen, regardless of process, system or data format. The platform is available either as a SaaS offering or as an on-site solution; it reportedly integrates into a company's environment within hours.

The re-branding and repositioning initiative is being driven by recently appointed President and Chief Operating Officer Kelly Mackin, and Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Patti Dock.

"The name ‘DataMotion’ reflects what we empower our customers to do - bridge people and processes," says Mackin. "We see business as a collection of people, processes and information waiting to be enabled. Our IIT platform scales down to support the simplest, local transactions and up to support the most complex, inter-organizational, international processes. Our clients are demanding these solutions in order to conduct secure collaboration to increase value and reduce risk."

 Other DataMotion solutions include:

>>DataMotion SecureMail, which allows secure sending and receiving of email and its attachments without ever leaving the mail client;

>>DataMotion WorkFlow, which enables individual users to create, manage and track a project that involves movement and tracking of information. This application includes three prongs: DataTransfer, DataForms and DataBridge.

The newly renamed company counts Citrix among its many customers
