Former McAfee marketing VP joins CertifiedMail

London, UK, June 17, 2008 - CertifiedMail, a leading global provider of secure messaging solutions, today announced the appointment of Patti Dock, a senior security industry executive and former marketing VP with McAfee, as chief marketing officer.
Patti is attending the Inbox/Outbox e-mail conference in London on 17-18 June together with representatives from UK customer Consumer Direct (CD), part of the Office of Fair Trading, which is using CertifiedMail to ensure sensitive consumer information stays protected when communicating with its Trading Standards partners. Patti Dock brings more than 30 years of experience, including executive positions with IBM and BEA Systems. "CertifiedMail is a simple and secure way to send sensitive information over the Internet," said Patti. "The product has won a number of industry awards and has a strong base of loyal customers, especially among government bodies."
"I am looking forward to using my experience to deliver a marketing strategy that will take CertifiedMail's brand recognition to new levels - especially in international markets," she added.
CertifiedMail is available as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering targeted at companies between 100 and 1000 employees and as an enterprise offering targeted at companies over 1000 employees. There is even a consumer version that can be purchased directly from the website.

Outside of CertifiedMail, Patti is also a member of technical advisory boards at several startups. Her background combines marketing and business experience in finance, telecommunications and manufacturing industries; and technical experience in application, infrastructure and security software.
Patti is a frequent speaker at technical and industry conferences, is a member of the leadership board for the Silicon Valley Chapter of the Alliance of Technology & Women and has a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of West Florida and an MS in Computer Science from Kansas State University.
