CertifiedMail Taps High-Tech Veterans for Management Team

Morristown, New Jersey, May 21, 2008 – CertifiedMail, a leading global provider of secure messaging solutions, today announced the appointment of two new executives: Bob Bales, an entrepreneur serving on CertifiedMail\'s advisory board, has been named CEO and is replacing co-founder Mahesh Muchhala. Kelly Mackin, of CA, Inc., has been named president and chief operating officer. Together, Bales and Mackin bring CertifiedMail decades of high-tech industry experience.
Morristown, New Jersey, May 21, 2008 - CertifiedMail, a leading global provider of secure messaging solutions, today announced the appointment of two new executives: Bob Bales, an entrepreneur serving on CertifiedMail's advisory board, has been named CEO and is replacing co-founder Mahesh Muchhala. Kelly Mackin, of CA, Inc., has been named president and chief operating officer. Together, Bales and Mackin bring CertifiedMail decades of high-tech industry experience.
Muchhala will now serve as chairman and Bob Janacek, executive vice president and cofounder, will move into the chief technology officer spot. "We welcome Bob and Kelly to our management team," said Muchhala. "We anticipate they will drive growth for the company as their track records show."
In 1989, Bob Bales co-founded the National Computer Security Association, which later became Cybertrust. In 2000, he co-founded PestPatrol, the first commercial anti-spyware company, which he grew to a multi-million dollar company and sold to Computer Associates in 2004. He then co-founded security company Exploit Prevention Labs, which was sold to AVG in December 2007.
